Pre-launch legal draft. Operator identity, contacts, retention schedule, processors, jurisdictions, and consent method require legal approval before publication.

Who we are

KidsGain provides parental tools for missions, rewards, screen-time routines, device controls, and family insights. Before public launch, replace this paragraph with the registered operator’s legal name, postal address, country, and privacy contact.

Data we process

We process parent account and profile details; child profiles created by a parent; missions, rewards, progress and balances; device pairing identifiers; app and screen-time usage; parental-control settings; permission and tamper status; bedtime events; domain requests and blocked attempts where a parent enables Android web filtering; support, security and diagnostic records; and analytics or crash information when enabled.

Why we process it

We use data to provide and secure KidsGain, pair and manage Hero devices, enforce parent-selected controls, calculate progress, synchronize usage, deliver notifications, prevent abuse, troubleshoot failures, and meet legal obligations. Where required, processing relies on contract, legitimate interests, legal obligations, or the parent’s consent. Child data is processed under parent or guardian direction.

Children’s data

Hero accounts are created and controlled by a parent or guardian. KidsGain does not ask a child to create an independent consumer account. Parents can review, correct, export, restrict, or request deletion of their child’s information. We do not use child data for targeted advertising or sell personal information.

Device monitoring

After the on-device monitoring disclosure is accepted, Android sends launchable app names and identifiers, usage duration, and permission status to KidsGain servers for the linked parent. Separate VPN consent allows domain names, request counts, blocked counts and last-request times to be sent for parent reports. Allowed DNS queries are sent to Cloudflare using DNS-over-TLS. No full URLs, page content or typed text are read. Local domain records keep only the current day when the filter records activity and are cleared when the child session is removed. iOS Screen Time frameworks intentionally provide privacy-limited information and KidsGain does not bypass those protections. Exact capabilities depend on device permissions and platform rules.

Service providers

We may use hosting, database, email, authentication, push notification, analytics, and crash-reporting providers acting under contractual safeguards. The production policy must list material providers and international transfer mechanisms before launch.

Retention

We keep information only while needed for the service, security, dispute resolution, and applicable law. Device telemetry and logs should have documented short retention periods. Deleted accounts and child profiles are removed or irreversibly anonymised unless limited retention is legally required.

Your rights

Depending on location, you may request access, correction, deletion, portability, restriction, objection, or withdrawal of consent, and complain to a supervisory authority. A parent may exercise these rights for a Hero profile through the Data Rights page.

Security

We use access controls, encrypted transport, scoped device permissions, authentication controls, and operational monitoring. No system can guarantee absolute security.

Contact and changes

Use the Data Rights page for privacy or deletion requests. Material changes will be dated here and, where required, notified in the app or sent to the parent.
